Boarding Services

As an owner, it can be difficult to find your horse a home that is a good fit and a place you can trust. At Oak Top Hill, we want you and your horse to feel at home. We believe in caring not only for their safety and their basic needs, but for their welfare.

For this reason, we offer every horse the following:

Daily Turnout

We believe that fresh air, natural exercise, and green grass are essential to the well-being of a horse.

That’s why every horse has the opportunity of daily turnout on our 30 acres of rolling pastures.

Box Stall & Bedding

Each horse gets its own comfy “home.” We like to treat our horses to organic pine shavings for bedding.

Although our stalls vary in size, there is a good match for any equine, from horse to pony to mini.

Electric Waterers

These handy inventions give the horses access to warm water in the winter and cool water in the summer.

You can find these valuable machines in both the pastures and stalls.

Grain & Hay

Our horses begin their day with a hardy breakfast of grain and hay. After some fun in the pastures, they come back to their stalls for a delicious dinner of…you guessed it: grain and hay!

Free of extra charge, we administer supplements and medication at your request.

Weekly Farrier Services

Every Thursday, our trusted farrier makes a trip out to our barn to trim, shoe, and give advice. Our horses rotate through a schedule every 6 - 8 weeks.

If your horse has an emergency, we’ll reserve you a spot on the soonest rotation!

Regular Vet Schedule

For your convenience, our barn schedules regular appointments with our vet. These include spring & fall vaccinations, teeth floating, and 4-H vet checks.

We’re dedicated to keeping your horse healthy and happy!

We not only care about your horse, we care about you too!

We are offering you, as the owner, access to amenities as well:

  • Tack Closet

    Your saddle, helmet, shampoos, brushes, treats, and more can be stored in a tack closet of your very own.

  • Bathing Amenities

    When your beautiful palomino decides that it wants to be a chestnut, we’ve got you covered! There is room for everyone with our indoor wash bay and two outdoor hose stations.

  • Riding Areas

    Everyone has space at our place! We give all riders access to an indoor sand arena, a large outdoor arena, and enclosed outdoor round pen, and even the pastures (after all our furry friends are tucked in for the night).

  • Scenic Trails

    Some days, a walk in the woods is just what you and your horse need! All riders and owners are welcome to explore the winding, wooded trails in the back of our property. (Also, Potato Creek State Park is just a few miles away!)

  • Bathroom & Observation Room

    Need a breather from the dust? Want to sit down? Really have to “go”? You are welcome to use these common spaces whenever you need them.

  • Trailer Parking

    Have a huge trailer you don’t know what to do with? Park it on our property so it is always there when you need it. (This includes an extra fee of $10 per month.)
